The original filtering system in Blackwing was dense and unwieldy a single full-screen modal stacked with dozens of parameters that overwhelmed users, especially on iOS. To improve usability, I redesigned the interface into a compact, half-screen overlay that preserved context and enabled real-time results. By restructuring filters around core coin properties and adding instant feedback, the new system made it easier for users to discover promising meme coins, fine-tune strategies, and share or save their setups turning a cluttered tool into a powerful discovery engine.
After launching the redesigned filtering system:
The updated design helped users discover better-performing coins, faster — and made filters feel useful instead of overwhelming.
The Problem:
Filters had grown into a bloated, full-screen modal filled with stacked input fields. It was hard to navigate, difficult to update, and broke the user’s flow, especially on iOS, where screen space is limited.
